This is a Full-time position with Full Remote work available within Japan only.

Overseas remote work is not permitted, however, candidates who already hold a valid Japan work visa may apply from overseas.

All interviews will be conducted online.

A well-established company that has traditionally worked with vendors is now building its own in-house digital team. As part of this first step, the company has onboarded one of Japan’s top tech leaders and is forming a new mega team to drive digital transformation.

Why Join?

Work-Life Balance: Full Remote from all Japan + Flex-time

Career Growth: Opportunities for career advancement

Bilingual Environment: Diverse, multicultural team

Pre-IPO Phase

Global Expansion (The company is aiming to become a global leader and already has offices in India, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam)

Role Overview

We are shifting from a vendor-dependent structure to an in-house digital organization.

As an Delivery Manager (Account PM), you will oversee 1–3 project teams (internal + partner companies) and ensure smooth delivery, stakeholder alignment, and people management.

This role sits between business and engineering. You will work closely with C-level leadership (CTO, CIO, VPoT), business units, and engineering teams to drive digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver multiple projects (1–3 teams) with responsibility for QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery).

If a team lacks a Project Manager, you will act directly as PM (planning, scheduling, progress tracking, risk management).

Communicate effectively with engineers, designers, and technical leads to ensure alignment on requirements and feasibility.

Collaborate with stakeholders from business teams, PMO, vendors, and partner companies.

Act as a bridge between technology and business, translating needs into actionable plans.

Manage and mentor team members, balancing process, delivery timeline, and people motivation.

Contribute to creating a scalable delivery framework and improve operational processes.

Requirements

Language Skills

Business-level Japanese (JLPT N1). Conversational English is required to communicate with global team members and engineers.

Tech Communication

Must be able to speak with engineers, understand system architecture, APIs, cloud, and development workflow (Agile/Scrum).

Industry Background

Experience working in a tech company or product-driven digital organization is required. Not only SIer/vendor management.

Project & People Leadership

Experience managing teams, mentoring members, and balancing process, timeline, and team well-being (people management).

Project Management Skills

Strong experience in project planning, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and issue/risk management. PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent is a plus.

Technical Understanding

Hands-on development background is ideal OR strong technical literacy (SaaS, APIs, system integration, cloud solutions).

Mindset & Culture Fit (Important – CTO Priority)

Practices Lean Thinking — prioritizes value delivery, reduces waste, and embraces continuous improvement (Kaizen)

Works with a Build–Measure–Learn mindset rather than heavy documentation or bureaucracy

Demonstrates servant leadership, empowering and supporting engineers and team members rather than managing only by authority

Takes ownership, makes decisions with clarity, and drives alignment persistently

Values diversity, communicates logically, and adapts to global team environments

Nice to Have

Experience in SaaS development, Agile product delivery, or digital product ownership

Experience with multi-vendor coordination and internal/external stakeholder alignment

Experience using Generative AI for workflow or productivity improvement

Certifications: PMP, PSM II, PMI-ACP, or equivalent
