About the Role

As the Account Manager – Hot Water , you will play a pivotal role in spearheading Daikin’s launch and commercial expansion across the hot water sector in New South Wales. Reporting to the State Manager (NSW Sales), you will be the driving force behind building our specialist partner network, driving revenue growth, and establishing Daikin as a premier brand in hot water systems.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and manage relationships with Hot Water Specialists, plumbers, contractors, and builders across NSW to achieve sales targets and expand market share. Drive sales utilisation using internal analytics (ABC reporting) and negotiate win-win outcomes within company pricing and credit frameworks. Act as the hands-on technical and commercial advocate for Daikin Hot Water products—promoting features and benefits at industry events, product rollouts, and customer relationship forums.

Utilise your industry and plumbing knowledge to interpret layouts, schematics, and installation drawings, guiding specialists on accurate product selections and compliance. Oversee project quoting and ordering (ensuring alignment with governance/J-SOX guidelines) while monitoring and reporting on market trends and competitor movements.

About You

To be successful in this high-impact role, you will bring a blend of commercial acumen, technical plumbing expertise, and a drive to build a new business segment from the ground up. Minimum 5 years of industry experience, specifically within the Hot Water, plumbing, or related building products sector. Proven success in sales or key account management within the hot water or plumbing wholesale space.

Strong understanding of domestic plumbing practices, hot water systems, drainage, venting, and relevant Australian Plumbing Standards and regulations. Ability to read and interpret plumbing schematics and installation drawings to support technical sales discussions; proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
