General Summary of Duties : The Housekeeping Manager will assume primary responsibility for guest rooms, hallways, public areas, back of house cleaning and servicing of assigned areas. They will assist the Director of Housekeeping with overseeing housekeeping operations, monitoring housekeeping standards, and delivering an excellent Guest experience.

They will hire, train, and supervise all housekeeping Internal Guests as well as plan and delegate work assignments. Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following) : Organize personnel into housekeeping crews capable of cleaning all guest rooms and other appropriate spaces Prepare for and oversee the interviewing, hiring, and training of all assigned personnel to accomplish assigned tasks Develop and execute an inspection program to ensure the maintenance of guest room areas, room cleanliness, sanitation, and standards Assist in meeting financial goals - budget preparation regarding funds required within the department for maintenance; manage wages and labor hours and departmental expenses Evaluate and prepare Internal Guest performances and administer discipline in accordance with departmental and company policy Keep inventory of closets and storage cages to ensure no shortages or waste exist Respond to guest comments, requests, and complaints Represent management at unemployment hearings, grievances, arbitrations, and discussions as needed Inspect guest rooms, public areas and back of house to ensure they are up to brand standards.

Perform daily key and radio inventories Monitor daily productivity of staff and follow-up when standards are not met Work closely with Engineering to ensure all maintenance concerns are handled appropriately Work closely with the Front Desk to ensure guests receive clean rooms in a timely manner Prepare and inspect VIP rooms to ensure standards are maintained Flexibility to work both AM and/or PM shifts as needed Prepare morning/evening work assignments for direct reports Prepare nightly Turndown assignments as needed Manage Human Resources responsibilities including; creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and Internal Guest satisfaction Maintains records including repairs needed, lost and found items and quality of work completed by Internal Guests Perform additional duties and projects as assigned Position Requirements : Demonstrate advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications required to manage departmental operations.

Effectively utilize multiple technology platforms simultaneously, including property management systems (PMS), labor management software, payroll systems, service optimization tools, inventory management applications, and company reporting platforms. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English Leverage tablets, mobile devices, and real-time digital communication tools to direct daily housekeeping operations, monitor productivity, track room status, and communicate with hotel leadership and team members.

Analyze operational, labor, payroll, productivity, and guest service data through various software systems to support staffing decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and departmental performance improvement. Maintain accurate electronic records, schedules, payroll approvals, inspections, inventories, and performance documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies and data security standards.

Adapt quickly to new technologies and system enhancements, serving as a departmental resource for operational software, reporting tools, and digital workflows. Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment Knowledge of OSHA regulations for Hazcom training and blood borne pathogens Working knowledge of federal, state, employment, and Health Department regulations Ability to communicate using a telephone, radio, or similar device Ability to use office equipment (i.

e., computer, laptop, iPad etc.) Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff, and co-workers Ability to understand commands, questions, and instructions from supervisors and co-workers Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions Bilingual preferred Work varied shifts including AM, PM, weekends and holidays Education : High School education or Equivalent.

Continuing education in Hospitality Management preferred.
