Purchase Executive

Role Objective: To manage procurement activities in strict compliance with General Financial Rules (GFR 2017), ensuring transparency, cost efficiency, and timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for goods and services. Ensure procurement processes strictly follow GFR provisions, including tendering, bidding, and rate contract procedures. Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements in line with GFR requirements. Maintain audit-ready records for GST, finance, and statutory reporting.

Support e-tendering and government e-marketplace (GeM) procurement as per GFR guidelines. Develop and maintain vendor database with performance tracking. Liaise with project teams, finance, and stores for material requirements. Prepare procurement status reports, trackers, and MIS updates for management.

Requirements

Graduate in Commerce/Business Administration/Engineering 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in government or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of GFR 2017, tendering procedures, and GST compliance. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and e-procurement portals (GeM). Strong negotiation, documentation, and vendor management skills.
