We have the following job opportunity in our New York City office: Description We are seeking a Property Reinsurance Analyst to support the Global Property Portfolio & Third-Party Capital Solutions function. This role will focus on improving operational efficiency, data consistency, reporting capabilities, and workflow automation across underwriting, portfolio management, and third-party capital activities.
Responsibilities
Supporting ongoing servicing and reporting requirements for third-party capital partners, including portfolio analytics, data requests, collateral reporting, and renewal-related deliverables. Collaborating with catastrophe modeling, underwriting, actuarial, finance and IT to support the quarterly reporting. Building and applying deep knowledge of Trans.
Re’s internal systems and data (e.g. TIRS, EDW), as well as vendor data used in key underwriting and portfolio management systems. Designing and maintaining tools and automated workflows (e.g. Python, Excel or other platforms) to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual processes and improve data consistency. Managing multiple priorities and delivering accurate, timely analysis and reporting in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess the following knowledge and experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with catastrophe modeling (AIR/Verisk) Understanding of (re)insurance work processes, accounting, data and information systems Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and Microsoft Power Platform applications. Experience with Snowflake or similar data platforms for business intelligence and machine learning.
Strong data management, analytics, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Work Schedule Trans. This position is located in our New York City office and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office per week, and 2 days remote.
Compensation
In addition to base salary, for this position, Trans. Re offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity. The anticipated annual base salary range in New York for this position, exclusive of benefits, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity is $100,000 – 125,000. This range is an estimate and the actual base salary offered for this position will be determined based on certain factors, including the applicant’s specific skill set and level of experience.
