Buyer

The Buyer is a critical member of a Support Team, responsible for aligning the buy with demand to avoid excess inventory and unnecessary mill purchases. This role will review mill lead-times, mill capabilities, and mill pricing to develop and implement strategies of how and when to buy, ensuring customer requirements are satisfied and Steel Technologies inventory goals and strategies are met.

This role works closely with members of the Support Team, including the Account Manager, Inside Sales Representatives, and other Buyers. The role also works closely with Purchasing Managers, and collaborates with all functions of the organization to manage inventory and the supply chain to provide great customer support.
