Job Summary
The Operations Finance professional at Mc. Kesson Corporation plays a critical role in providing financial insights and support to operational leaders, driving efficient decision-making and contributing to the company's financial performance.
Responsibilities
Develop, analyze, and report on key operational financial metrics, including cost of goods sold, inventory turns, distribution costs, and labor productivity. Partner with operational teams to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Conduct financial analysis to identify cost savings opportunities, process improvements, and revenue growth initiatives within operations.
Prepare financial models and business cases for capital expenditure requests, new projects, and operational changes. Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by ensuring accurate financial reporting for operational expenses and related accounts. Perform variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast, providing clear explanations and actionable insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, procurement, and IT, to optimize operational efficiency and financial outcomes. Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures related to operational activities. Present financial findings and recommendations to senior management and operational stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong emphasis on operational finance, cost accounting, or supply chain finance. Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Advanced Excel skills required (will be possibly working with Google Sheets in the future) Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g. Oracle) and financial reporting tools. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various levels of management.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. About Mc.
