• IV) Recruitment Description: These are highly visible positions requiring extremely dedicated individuals. May be assigned to work at the Kittitas Valley Memorial Pool (KVMP), the Stan Bassett Youth Center (SBYC), or the Adult Activity Center (AAC). Will be responsible for providing customer service, general office support, and programming assistance to ensure the efficient operation of the Ellensburg Parks & Recreation Department facilities and programs. Recreation Staff must demonstrate good judgment and have the ability to communicate with patrons and staff in a positive, respectful manner at all times. These are part-time positions with no benefits except for earning paid sick leave. Employees will earn paid sick leave at a rate of one (1) hour for every paid forty (40) hours worked. Employees are eligible to begin using accrued paid sick leave on the ninetieth (90th) calendar day after the commencement of his/her employment. In accordance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, all new employees will be advised of acceptable documents to verify identity and work authorization, which must be submitted within three (3) days of date of hire.
