Truck Driver

Job Purpose: Operates and safely drives vehicles with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 lbs on predetermined routes to ensure timely transport and delivery.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle. Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs. Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck, flatbed to prevent damage/injury. Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery. Perform inspections on your vehicle prior to and following each trip.

Check weather conditions and road reports before departure. Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean. Notify managers of any major maintenance issues encountered. Track and report working hours. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to weather/road conditions. Performs related duties as assigned Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures Education, Skills and/or Work Experience Requirements: Must have a clean driving record.
