Sr. Manager Infection Prevention

City/State: Nyack, New York Department: Infection Prevention Work Shift: Day Work Days: MON-FRI Scheduled Hours: 8 AM-4:30 PM Scheduled Daily Hours: 8.5 HOURS Hours Per Pay Period: 40 Pay Rate/Range: $155,000-$175,000 Job Summary The Sr. Manager of Infection Prevention and Control supports the planning, development, and /or implementation of the Infection Prevention Program.

The role collaborates with clinical leadership, nursing, quality, employee health, and regulatory agencies to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, compliance, and organizational standards. The Sr. Manager serves as a subject matter expert in infection prevention practices, surveillance, outbreak management, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

Demonstrates the technical/professional knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the successful operations of the department including, where applicable, age specific competency. *

1. Daily surveillance activities and data analysis.
2. Coordination of Infection Prevention interventions.
3. Participates in performance improvement and patient safety activities related to infection prevention.
4. Serves as an educator/ consultant to hospital staff and departments.
5. Timely reporting to /compliance with all regulatory functions / agencies CUSTOMER SERVICE:
6. Demonstrates the ability to create a positive interaction with the customer.
7. Demonstrates positive communication with people of different cultures, values and beliefs.
8. Demonstrates the ability to acknowledge customer concerns and take correction action.
9. Demonstrates compliance with identified customer service behaviors.
10. Provides escort to customers when necessary. PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT:
11. Participates in Department/Hospital-wide activities which improve processes and/or outcomes.
12. Utilizes resources to maintain and improve self-development and knowledge.
13. Complies with licensure and/or certification requirements.
14. Participates in annual competency assessment. BUDGET:
15. Demonstrates fiscally prudent use of equipment and supplies.
16. Utilizes charge process for supplies/equipment. PROJECTS/ASSIGNMENTS:
17. Completes projects/assignments within projected time frames and expectations.

Qualifications

Masters Preferred Five years’ experience in Infection Prevention preferred Registered Nurse New York
