Job description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven District Manager to lead operational excellence and drive strategic growth across multiple retail locations within the Market. Place Group of Stores. In this role, you will oversee and develop a team of Store Managers, champion best practices, and create a high-performance culture focused on delivering exceptional customer service experiences and achieving business objectives.
You will combine strong leadership, commercial insight, and data-driven decision-making to maximize sales performance and operational efficiency within the stores.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute operational strategies that align with company goals, to drive revenue growth, market share and profitability. Lead, coach, mentor, and inspire Store Managers across multiple locations, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance. Analyze sales results, operational metrics and other performance data to identify trends, challenges and opportunities for growth.
Establish and implement training and development initiatives that strengthen team capabilities and enhance customer engagement. Ensure consistent compliance with company policies, procedures, operational standards and safety requirements. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Supply Chain, to drive promotional activities and inventory management.
Conduct regular store visits to assess operational efficiency, customer service quality, and merchandising standards.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of store management experience, with a proven track record of driving sales performance and operational efficiency. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams across multiple locations. Excellent analytical skills, with the capacity to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders. Experience in a multi-unit retail environment, ideally within a fast-paced industry. Proficiency in retail management software and tools. Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management.
Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools to drive performance improvements. Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology. Proactive problem-solver with a results-oriented mindset. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
