Deputy Sheriff 1/Deputy Sheriff

This recruitment is for full-time, non-exempt Deputy Sheriff 1 and Deputy Sheriff positions at the Carson City Sheriff's Office.  The positions perform law enforcement and crime prevention work: enforce state and local laws and traffic regulations, perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of the Sheriff's Office.

The positions also preserve the peace, detaining and interviewing violators, apprehend suspects, and respond to assistance calls. The positions can also be responsible for the care and custody of inmates in the Detention Center. Although recreational marijuana use in Nevada Is legal, marijuana usage is illegal on a federal level.
