JOB TITLE Veterinary Technician Supervisor – VCA Piedmont Animal Hospital VCA Piedmont Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Veterinary Technician Supervisor to provide strong leadership within our high‑volume general practice. This role is ideal for a skilled veterinary hospital leader with proven operational expertise, people‑management experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment.
The Veterinary Technician Supervisor partners closely with hospital leadership and doctors to ensure efficient patient flow, high team performance, and the consistent delivery of exceptional medical and client service. This position plays a critical role in staff development, workflow optimization, and maintaining elevated standards of patient care across the technical team.
Key Responsibilities
Daily technical team leadership to support efficient patient care and smooth workflow Collaborate with doctors to strengthen communication, identify training needs, and enhance patient care Support staffing operations including scheduling, attendance oversight, and performance management Coach and develop support staff to build skill, confidence, and consistency Promote protocol and process consistency across medical procedures and client service standards Partner with medical and administrative leadership to improve efficiency and patient outcomes Support financial and operational goals through effective staffing utilization and resource management Maintain strong hospital presence to monitor patient flow, team morale, and service quality Assist with escalated client concerns and operational challenges with professionalism and composure What We’re Looking For Proven leadership or management experience in a veterinary or medical environment Strong workflow management skills and the ability to navigate high‑pressure situations Excellent communication, coaching, collaboration, and conflict‑resolution abilities Operational mindset with understanding of staffing, budgeting, and hospital efficiency Ability to balance clinical awareness with administrative leadership responsibilities Additional Information This position may evolve over time, and duties are subject to change or expansion based on hospital needs, operational demands, and team growth.
