Job description

Tempo Communications builds field-proven test & measurement equipment for fiber, copper, PoE, utility-locating, and irrigation pros worldwide. Duties/Responsibilities: Quality Inspector understands the general aspects of the job with some understanding of specific products or higher-level tasks. The individual works under general supervision and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.

Visual inspection on product to engineering specifications Support production in monitoring and maintaining quality assurance programs by performing line checks, in process and finished goods to ensure quality Electrical test of material using test fixtures and/or Multimeter according to engineering specifications Conduct first article, routine incoming, in process and final inspections for compliance with specifications using drawings, standards and work instructions Perform routine mechanical inspections using pin gauges, calipers radius gauges Make computerized transactions such as maintenance of defect tracking database and MRP transaction Develop and generate QC worksheets, inspection findings and miscellaneous reports Maintain and report accurate materials inventory, and keep accurate records Segregate and document clearly and accurately all nonconforming material Work in a Team environment, following instructions from Supervisor Education/Experience: High School Graduate or equivalent Minimum 1 year of related inspection experience working with Electro/Mechanical assemblies Must understand engineering documentation and be computer literate Requirements: Mental Ability to prioritize tasks Ability to work with minimal supervision Good communication skills Physical Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to see variations in color/texture or deformities.
