Robot Service Technician Location : San Angelo, TX Work Environment : In-person Job Type : Full-time Contract Pay : $25.00–$28.00 per hour Job Overview We are seeking a hands-on and versatile Robot Service Technician to support the production, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of self-driving delivery robots. This role is ideal for a technician with experience in automotive, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical environments who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and working across a variety of technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Assembly Assemble harnesses, cables, connectors, and electronic components. Install, replace, and test sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors. Assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical components. Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of autonomous delivery robots.
Diagnose equipment breakdowns and investigate technical incidents. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including suspension systems and batteries. Execute service campaigns and corrective maintenance activities. Field & Technical Support Travel between local sites to provide onsite technical support. Support rapid prototyping, testing, and product improvements.
Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment. Assist with testing and troubleshooting in field environments. Research & Development Support R&D experiments and technical projects. Assist with testing new components, systems, and prototypes. Provide hands-on feedback to support product development. Required Qualifications Previous technician experience in automotive, manufacturing, robotics, electronics, or a related field.
Experience using mechanical and electrical tools and measuring equipment. Ability to assemble and disassemble products and install electronic modules. Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings. Strong computer literacy and ability to learn technical software and systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 12 months. Ability to lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds. Comfortable working in field environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an automotive plant, dealership service department, or similar environment. Soldering experience.
