EH&S Specialist (m/f) Atotech, part of the Materials Solutions Division of MKS Instruments, is a global leader in advanced surface modification technologies, providing chemical, equipment, and process solutions to a wide range of industries. For our site in Podnart, Slovenia, we are seeking an EH&S Specialist to support and ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, while maintaining a structured, safe, and sustainable working environment in line with local legislation and international standards.
This is a permanent position with a 6-month probation period.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments, safety inspections, and employee training Support chemical safety management, including maintaining records of hazardous substances, monitoring Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and preparing chemical risk assessments Organize and oversee workplace and biomonitoring activities Ensure proper use and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety-critical equipment Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, including participation in internal audits and follow-up on corrective actions Contribute to major accident prevention initiatives and emergency preparedness activities Monitor and support compliance with environmental legislation and implementation of regulatory changes Collaborate with internal teams and support global EHS initiatives What We Expect Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS or similar role Fluent Slovenian and good command of English High level of reliability, accuracy, and responsibility Strong organizational and communication skills Team-oriented and proactive approach What We Offer Permanent employment in a stable, international company Structured working hours and supportive working environment Opportunities for professional growth and continuous development Competitive benefits package, including additional insurance and pension scheme Company-provided meals and reimbursement in line with local regulations Additional employee benefits and a collaborative working atmosphere #LI-NI1 Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
