Altruix is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our clinical services in Maryland and the continued expansion of our Washington, DC market. This is a unique opportunity for an LPN interested in combining direct patient care with care coordination in a growing, field-based program.
This position does not include home health or in-home visits. All injection services will take place at designated partner facilities. Phase One – Maryland: The LPN will support current Altruix clients by traveling to designated Maryland partner facilities to administer long-acting injectable medications and will partner with our Annapolis-based clinical and pharmacy teams on patient coordination, screening workflows, prior authorizations, and related clinical needs.
Phase Two – DC and Maryland: As the Washington, DC network grows, the role will expand to include administering injections at designated partner facilities in DC while continuing to support Maryland clients. DC travel will not be required immediately. Once DC travel begins, Altruix will provide a travel stipend.
Compensation
For this role ranges from $36.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Care: Administer long-acting injectable medications at designated partner facilities in Maryland and, as the program expands, Washington, DC Monitor patients as appropriate and escalate clinical concerns when necessary Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Maintain compliance with HIPAA, nursing standards, company policies, and applicable state and federal requirements Coordination & Partnership: Support patient screening workflows and ensure required documentation is received from facility partners Assist with prior authorizations and medication-access needs in coordination with pharmacy and clinical teams Coordinate with patients, providers, pharmacists, and facility staff to support continuity of care Build strong working relationships with facility partners and internal teams Travel to designated facilities based on patient and operational needs QUALIFICATIONS: Active, unrestricted Maryland LPN license at the time of hire If not already licensed in Washington, DC, ability to obtain DC LPN licensure within the first 30 days of employment Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work independently in a field-based environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability and willingness to travel to partner facilities throughout Maryland and, as the program expands, Washington, DC Active LPN licensure in both Maryland and Washington, DC preferred Experience administering long-acting injectable medications preferred Behavioral health or mental health experience preferred Experience in outpatient, clinic, facility-based, or community healthcare settings preferred Experience with prior authorizations, medication access, or insurance-related workflows preferred BENEFITS: Competitive pay ($36.
