Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of OpSec to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of the adversary mindset and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust risk mitigation tradecraft that protects our company’s products and IP from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. The Director of OpSec will work closely with cross-functional teams and with our clients to identify and mitigate operational security risks, ensuring compliance with best-of-class regulations, policies, and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and methodological input for the development and implementation of risk mitigation; tools, techniques, procedures and habits, concepts of operation, and courses of action.
  • Advocate, pursue and implement a “security first”, risk mitigation approach throughout the product lifecycle – from research and development to client use and integration.
  • Build and manage a team of OpSec Specialists and help shape our team’s culture and processes to drive success.
  • Validate clients operational requirements and lead internal OpSec development planning to correspond with client and market “real world” needs.
  • Create and maintain policies and guidelines on the safe and secure use of the company’s products.
  • Overseeing client exercise planning, execution, and evaluation to accomplish exercise training priorities.
  • Conducting threat intelligence research on current and emerging cyber risks to our sector.
  • Automate security tasks and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce manual errors, and increase compliance.

Requirements:

  • Deep, full-spectrum understanding of cyber operations lifecycle and operational use of cyber capabilities.
  • Acquaintance with vulnerability research and exploitation tools, techniques and procedures.
  • Hands-on Experience in design and implementation of operational security tradecraft in a high-reliability technological setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of OpSec principles, tools, and technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Experience in investigating processes and/or data analytics.
