Purchasing Intern - On-Site (Irvine)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Intern to support our procurement operations. This role provides hands-on experience in documentation of purchasing activities and vendor communication. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the purchasing team in documenting purchases. Enter purchase orders, update supplier data, and process sales confirmations. Help maintain accurate records. Communicate with carriers and internal teams. Support special projects and reports as requested by management.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with data entry. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Interest in the food distribution and transportation industry.

Position would be in office, based out of Irvine, CA.

Compensation

Hands-on experience in purchasing within the food industry. Mentorship from experienced purchasing professionals. Flexible schedule (15-40 hours per week) to accommodate school or other commitments. Potential for a full-time role based on performance. Free daily lunch, unlimited snacks, and refreshments. $25.00 per hour.
