Summary PET CT Technologist Magnolia Campus Schedule Full-time Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday 7:00 to 3:00 p.m. & Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.

m. Position Highlights: The PET/CT Technologist performs positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis, staging, and monitoring of disease processes. The technologist is responsible for patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition, quality control, radiation safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of patient care while producing diagnostic-quality examinations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Perform PET/CT imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders. •Review patient history, verify orders, and ensure appropriate preparation for PET/CT examinations. •Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. •Operate PET/CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

•Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or emergencies. •Perform venipuncture and establish intravenous access as required. •Assess blood glucose levels and patient suitability for PET imaging procedures. •Maintain accurate patient records, examination documentation, and imaging data within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

•Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality control procedures on PET/CT equipment and associated instrumentation. •Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public. •Ensure compliance with state, federal, Joint Commission, NRC, and departmental regulations.

•Participate in accreditation activities and quality improvement initiatives. •Communicate effectively with radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, oncologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. •Maintain inventory of radiopharmaceuticals, supplies, and contrast materials. •Assist with training and mentoring of students and new staff members as assigned.

•Participate in departmental meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities. Credentials and Qualifications: High School /GED Florida state license required

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) ARRT(N) OR CNMT through NMTCB certification or equivalent required. Current BLS required. Preferred: Associate degree One (1) year Nuclear Med Technologist experience Salary Range $39.87 - $60.78 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
