The Tailor is responsible for the alteration, repair, maintenance, and proper fitting of hotel uniforms, guest garments, linen items, and soft furnishings.
The role ensures all textile items are maintained to the highest quality standards, supporting the hotel's professional appearance and guest satisfaction. Alter, repair, and maintain team member uniforms and guest garments. Measure, fit, and adjust uniforms to ensure proper sizing. Repair damaged linen, curtains, upholstery, and other fabric items.
Inspect uniforms and linen for wear and recommend repairs or replacements. Operate and maintain sewing machines and tailoring equipment safely. Maintain an organized inventory of fabrics, threads, buttons, zippers, and tailoring supplies. Ensure all tailoring requests are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
Coordinate with Housekeeping and Laundry to prioritize daily tailoring tasks. Keep the tailoring workshop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Record completed work and report material requirements to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Assist during uniform issuance, collection, and inventory activities as required.
