Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

The Med/Surg Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient: adult and geriatric using the Nursing Process. Planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs, including the spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs. The average nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. The RN is responsible to see that The Plan of Care is carried out through a range of patient care including: IV lines, catheters, feeding tubes, nasal gastric tubes, enemas, hygiene needs, dressing changes, blood glucose monitoring, 02 setups, telemetry, decubitus care, monitoring of vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living.
