Job description
Responsible for initiating and answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments times and dates for exams and procedures. Triages phone calls as necessary. Conducts patient pre-certification and obtains all required patient demographic information to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of healthcare related experience. Previous medical scheduling preferred with understanding medical terminology.
