Maintenance Assistant

Midsouth Steel, a leader in the erection and fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel has an immediate need for a Maintenance Assistant. This is a full-time, direct hire position offering great benefits and opportunity for advancement. Hours M-F 7a-3:30p Location: ON SITE Job duties will entail. Assisting Lead Maintenance Tech with all of his duties including: Troubleshooting machinery.

Low Voltage electrical work. Holding ladders. Carrying materials. Learning from Lead Tech on the job. Ideal candidate will have: Good mechanical and electrical aptitude. Punctuality and dependability. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Must be able to read a tape measure. Good computer skills. Willingness to learn. Knowledge of safety fundamentals.
