Job description

Job Duties In conjunction with the Supervisor, Project Engineer; Perform a variety of more difficult technical and supportive professional engineering tasks in the field and office settings. Attend meetings for preliminary plan discussion, pre-construction and other departmental meetings. Assist with the management of the Maintenance Preservation Programs.

Arrange and manage maintenance contracts. Review associated drainage issues with district personnel. Manage various budget accounts and contracts. Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County. Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.

Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation. Special Experience/Education A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required. One to three (1-3) years of experience commensurate with the duties described above is preferred. A valid State of Michigan Driver License is required.
