Position Overview
The Director Quality will lead our quality assurance and control efforts within the industrial manufacturing environment. This role will focus on ensuring that our aerial lift products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures specifically tailored for the aerial lift manufacturing process. Oversee quality control measures throughout the production cycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, cultivating a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of quality control processes and identify opportunities for enhancement. Analyze quality metrics and customer feedback to drive improvements in product quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 10 years of experience in quality management within an industrial manufacturing environment, with specific experience in aerial lifts or similar equipment preferred. Proven experience with quality management systems (e.
g., ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma) and regulatory compliance. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality assurance methodologies relevant to aerial lifts. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Experience in managing quality assurance teams and driving cultural change towards quality excellence. Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Certification) are advantageous.
