This role works closely with both office and field teams to develop a strong understanding of civil construction operations and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with RFIs, submittals, plan posting, drawing control, and document distribution. Perform takeoffs and quantity checks and assist with daily reports and project photos. Support meeting scheduling, minutes, and action-item tracking. Assist with pay applications, closeout documentation, and as-built drawings. Learn and utilize HCSS for cost tracking and MS Project for schedule review.

Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, resource planning, and procurement. Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to help keep projects on schedule and within specifications. Track project progress, milestones, costs, and key performance indicators. Assist with project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.

Participate in project meetings and communicate updates, risks, and action items. Support compliance with company safety requirements, applicable regulations, and project specifications. Assist with project evaluations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Collaborate with project and field teams to help achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

Strong organizational and communication skills. Collaborative, energetic, and eager to learn. Willingness to teach, learn, and continuously improve. Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software; HCSS experience is a plus. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
