The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and self-motivated Senior Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team. This pivotal role involves providing expert planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdown support, diagnostics, repair, and installation services for a wide range of commercial and industrial boiler systems across our client.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our clients' heating systems.

Qualifications

& Experience: Essential: Full current Commercial Gas Safe accreditations including: COCN1 (Core Commercial Gas Safety) ICPN1 (Installation of Commercial Pipework) CIGA1 (Commercial Indirect Fired Heating Appliances) CDGA1 (Commercial Direct Fired Heating Appliances) TPCP1A or TPCP1 (Testing & Purging of Pipework) CORT1 (Commercial Overhead Radiant Tubes & Appliances) – desirable but not essential NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heating & Ventilation, Gas Engineering, or a related field.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across a range of boiler manufacturers and types. Full UK Driving Licence (clean preferred). Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to boiler operations. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Desirable: AC and Electrical knowledge, Experience with AHU’s and FCU’s preferred.

FGAS – Cat1 Basic electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations). Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS). Relevant manufacturer training certifications. Skills & Attributes: Highly organised with excellent time management abilities, capable of planning own workload efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. A meticulous approach to work with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure. IT literate for completing reports, managing job sheets, and using mobile applications.
