Job Description: Digital Change Communications Lead Role Overview The Senior Digital Change Communications Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and driving the Digital global change communications strategy for the Petcare STEO (Strategic Transformation and Effectiveness Office). This role goes beyond execution to define direction, influence senior stakeholders, and embed a digitally enabled, data-driven communications approach that accelerates transformation adoption at scale.
You will lead the evolution of how change is communicated—leveraging digital ecosystems, AI, behavioral insights, and advanced storytelling to drive engagement and measurable business outcomes. You will also be a member of the SBC (Strategic Business Communications) team, being available to drive comms for business-as-usual activities.
You will report to the global Petcare Strategic Business Communication Team, with a dotted line to the Digital Transformation Functional Lead. What Are We Looking For? Experience & Leadership 7+ years of experience in internal communications, change communications, or transformation programs (corporate and/or agency) Proven experience leading communications for enterprise-wide digital or business transformation initiatives Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and operate at a strategic advisory level Experience working in complex, matrixed global organizations Execution Excellence Outstanding storytelling, narrative building, and content strategy skills Strong project and program management capabilities, managing multiple workstreams globally Experience managing agencies and external partners to deliver high-impact campaigns Data-driven mindset with experience defining KPIs, dashboards, and performance optimization Strong expertise in digital communications ecosystems (intranets, employee platforms, social, video, interactive channels) Collaboration & Influence Exceptional stakeholder management across senior leadership and regional teams Ability to build global alignment while enabling local relevance Strong coaching capability to uplift communication standards across communities Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Define and lead the end-to-end digital change communications strategy for STEO Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping transformation narratives and engagement approaches Ensure communications are aligned to business priorities, transformation milestones, and measurable outcomes Support EU I&I and Consultation.
Change Adoption & Engagement Develop and execute integrated communication strategies that drive behavioral change and adoption at scale Embed change management principles and insights into all communications approaches Continuously evolve engagement strategies based on data and feedback loops Narrative & Storytelling Own and evolve the Digital key messages, fully aligned with STEO narrative, ensuring clarity, consistency, and inspiration Translate complex digital and transformation topics into compelling, human-centric storytelling Enable leaders to communicate effectively through tailored messaging and content Global Enablement Work aligned with other Functions and Divisions, under STEO; being a relevant member of the STEO Comms Community Provide frameworks, toolkits, and governance to ensure consistent and high-quality deployment globally Executive & Leadership Communications Support Digital leadership forums with strategic messaging and storytelling Coach leaders in delivering compelling transformation communications Business as Usual Be available to support BAU responsibilities, including ongoing content development, editorial planning, channel management, leadership updates, community engagement and measurement and reporting.
