JOB DESCRIPTION: SCHOOL-BASED THERAPIST Location: Madisonville, TN (Monroe County Schools) Salary: $42,300 - $46,700 | 10-Month Position Make a Difference Where Students Need It Most Are you passionate about helping children and adolescents overcome behavioral and mental health challenges? Join our team as a School-Based Therapist and provide meaningful counseling services directly within Monroe County schools.
In this role, you'll work closely with students, families, and school staff to support emotional well-being, improve behavioral outcomes, and help students succeed both academically and personally. This position follows a 10-month school schedule, offering a work-life balance that aligns with the academic calendar.
What You'll Do
Provide individual counseling services to students in a school setting Conduct assessments and develop appropriate diagnoses Create and maintain individualized treatment plans Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions Provide family and group counseling as needed Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and caregivers Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and supervision Respond professionally and promptly to client and organizational needs What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in: Clinical Psychology Counseling Mental Health Counseling Social Work Marriage and Family Therapy Related behavioral health field Clinical experience through internships, practicums, or professional employment Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills Valid driver's license and insurable driving record Preferred Qualifications License eligible or currently licensed in Tennessee (LMSW, LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent) Experience working with children, adolescents, or school-based populations Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches Why Join Us?
