OVERVIEW
Merrick is looking for an Electrical Field Technician to join our Nuclear Services & Technology Team in Aiken, South Carolina. Local candidates only.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead field operations and provide technical troubleshooting to identify and resolve on-site issues. Provide technical support to on-site teams to proactively identify and resolve operational roadblocks. Translate engineering diagrams, drawings, and documents provided by Engineers to the fabricator; answering fabricator questions if possible.
Oversee equipment installation, testing, and maintenance. Generate and submit daily and monthly reports of work done indicating project progress. Ensure and maintain safety of on-site equipment. Verify contractor submission of weekly construction progress. Engage in reporting, week-ahead, inter-team, and contract meetings to support alignment, coordination, and project objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Ten (10) years of relevant experience. Associate’s degree in engineering or related field. Excellent problem-solving skills and industry related technical knowledge. Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset. Client projects for this position require U.S. citizenship. Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier.
