A Snapshot of Your Day. The 9HL Program Lead will lead cross-functional programs and the resolution of emerging technical issues affecting the 9HL combustion system and gas turbine operation. You will bring structure to complex and sometimes incomplete information by integrating operational, test, fleet, and engineering data, identifying the critical questions, and guiding teams toward timely, evidence-based decisions.

Working across combustion and gas turbine engineering, controls, validation, fleet management, service, commissioning, manufacturing, and other key interfaces, you will align technical experts and business stakeholders around priorities, risks, decisions, and execution plans.How You’ll Make an Impact. Lead 9HL development programs and the resolution of emerging combustion and operational issues, with responsibility for technical scope, budget, schedule, risk, and timely decision-making.

Analyze and integrate fleet, test, operational, and engineering data to identify trends, evaluate competing hypotheses, and develop evidence-based recommendations.Bring structure to ambiguous problems by defining the critical questions, required evidence, decision criteria, risks, and focused resolution plan.Lead cross-functional investigations and innovation projects, aligning technical experts and key stakeholders around priorities, decisions, actions, and implementation.

Monitor fleet performance and work with fleet management, service, and engineering teams to identify emerging issues and develop effective product improvements and fleet solutions.Communicate complex technical findings clearly to leadership, projects, and customers, including alternatives, uncertainties, recommendations, and required actions.

What You Bring. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with a master’s degree or PhD preferred, or equivalent longstanding professional experience in gas turbine development; business-fluent English is required, and German-language capability is beneficial.5+ years of broad experience in gas turbine design, service engineering, commissioning, fleet support, or validation, with technical depth in one or more areas such as combustion, controls, emissions, mechanical integrity, heat transfer, engine integration, hydrogen, or gas turbine operation.

Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical data from testing, fleet operation, and engineering assessments and translate the results into timely, evidence-based decisions.Experience leading technical programs, engineering development activities, fleet issue resolution, or product improvement initiatives.Demonstrated leadership of diverse global teams, including the ability to align stakeholders, constructively challenge assumptions, resolve conflicting viewpoints, and deliver results within schedule and budget constraints.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear recommendations for engineering, project, leadership, and customer audiences.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.Export Control Requirement (ECC): Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.
