Paraeducator

Position Title: Paraeducator Start Date : August 19, 2026 9:15 am to 2:00 pm daily at Shepaug Valley Partnership (18-22 yr old transition program) JOB SUMMARY: To assist the certified staff in achieving the goals and objectives of the specialized instructional program for students in our transition program. All paraprofessionals have both common and specific job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of 2 years of study at an institution of higher education, OR earned an Associate's Degree (or higher), OR achieve at least a score of 457 on the ETS Para. Pro Assessment (https://www.ets.org/parapro) Demonstrated competence in basic skills of reading, oral and written language, and math. Proficiency in the use of a computer and the ability to work with office machines and other technology.

Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students and adults. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
