Hammocks Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Director to lead our growing veterinary team in Miami, Florida. This is an exceptional opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about medical excellence, team leadership, mentorship, and practice growth while continuing to provide outstanding patient care.

Since 1989, our full-service veterinary hospital has delivered high-quality care through comprehensive wellness services, advanced diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and treatment of complex medical conditions. As Medical Director, you will help shape the clinical vision of the hospital, support team development, and drive a culture of collaboration and excellence.

What You'll Do

• Lead and uphold medical quality standards and patient care protocols
• Mentor associate veterinarians and support staff
• Partner with hospital leadership on recruiting, training, and team development
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture
• Help guide clinical protocols, workflows, and hospital growth initiatives
• Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical practice

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree
• Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication, mentorship, and team-building skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Passion for medical excellence, coaching, and hospital growth
