Part Time Youth Mentor - PM Shift (T, Th, Sat)

Make a Difference in the Life of a Young Person Maple Lake Academy is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and responsible Part-Time Youth Mentor to join our team. Youth Mentors play an important role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for the young people we serve. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with youth, can build positive relationships, and is able to provide consistency, encouragement, and support while following the treatment plan established by our clinical team.

Qualifications

& Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Must be 21 years of age or older to drive company vehicles Acceptable driving record Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check upon accepting an offer Dependable and reliable Able to receive, understand, and carry out instructions Genuine desire to support and care for youth Key Responsibilities As a Youth Mentor, you will: Provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for clients Build positive relationships and serve as a consistent, positive role model Implement therapeutic interventions and strategies identified by the treatment team Provide structure, guidance, and appropriate supervision throughout the shift Help clients develop healthy time-management skills and complete activities of daily living (ADLs) Help youth process and appropriately express their feelings and emotions Observe and monitor client behavior and accurately document/chart observations Transport students to and from appointments, activities, and other approved outings using company vehicles Attend weekly shift meetings Participate in company training opportunities, with a minimum training requirement of at least one training each quarter What We Are Looking For : We are looking for someone who is patient, dependable, observant, compassionate, and consistent .
