Group Charter Sales Assistant - 1 Year Student Placement (September 2026 - September 2027)

Air Charter Service is a global leader in aircraft chartering. Our Commercial Jets team specialises in arranging complex group charter solutions for a wide range of industries, including professional sports teams, touring musicians, event organisers, and many other blue-chip organisations worldwide. We have an exciting, year-long opportunity for an undergrad student looking to gain work experience in sales within the Commercial Jets world.
The purpose of this placement is to assist the sales brokers in our Commercial Jets division. You will be responsible for assisting with ad-hoc administration and tasks all whilst learning first-hand what goes into ensuring a group charter is carried out to the highest of standards. Duties will include but are not limited to: Assisting brokers with their portfolio of clients Developing an expert understanding of the Commercial aircraft and chartering process Liaising with clients, airlines and airports Assisting the broker with charter bookings from enquiry to post-flight report Flight watching/overseeing flight departures and flight repping Ad hoc administration tasks The Placement Duration: 12 months, ideally starting September 2026 Based at our Surbiton Headquarters Due to the nature of the industry, working hours will vary but predominantly 09:00 - 17:30 Monday-Friday Training will be provided Travel opportunities will be given Key Skills & Experience The successful candidate must be currently studying, ideally working towards a degree in Aviation, Airline, Airport or Business Management An interest in sales and / or aviation is essential Previous experience working in a customer facing role Hardworking and flexible (this is simply not a 9-5) Exceptional communication skills, fluency in a second language is an advantage Excellent problem solving skills Strong resilience with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Flexible with the ability to travel often and at times, with short notice Must live within a commutable distance to the job location Drivers License desirable ** This is a 12month Fixed Term Contract, please only apply if you are available full time between September 2026 and September 2027 ** £25,000 per annum starting salary 22 days’ holiday per year Free breakfast and lunch in our onsite canteen "The Hangar" Onsite gym with free classes Private healthcare and Pension Cycle to Work Scheme 2x "giving back" charitable days a year Check us out on social media!
