Purpose of the Role
The Observability Engineer is AFS’s eyes on the AFSVision Hosted Private Cloud (HPC), responsible for measuring and reporting on day-to-day performance metrics, detecting system and performance issues before they become a client-facing incident, and providing client-facing SLA performance reports. AFSVision HPC runs 24x7x365 for FFIEC-regulated clients under contractually defined SLAs, and this role owns the shift from reactive monitoring to proactive, correlated observability across logs, metrics, and traces.
