Job description
Langdock SE brings all leading AI models into one secure platform, helping teams find answers, analyze documents and automate workflows. Over 10,000 companies use Langdock, from fast-growing startups to some of Europe’s largest enterprises. We bridge the gap between what AI can do and how people actually use it at work.
We’ve grown from €1M to €50M+ ARR and are profitable, with plenty left to build. Legal helps make that growth possible. Our customers include some of Europe’s largest and most regulated companies. The commitments we make about data, AI and control need to hold up in our contracts and our product. As Legal Counsel, you’ll own matters end to end, help get enterprise deals signed, and build better ways to do legal work with AI.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own enterprise negotiations. Take SaaS agreements, DPAs, security and AI terms, and DORA addenda from first conversation to signature.
- Turn regulation into practical decisions. Translate the AI Act, DORA, NIS2 and the Data Act into guidance for our product and business.
- Shape new infrastructure and services. Work on contracts for our data center and cloud offering, from power and hardware to customer terms.
- Keep the company running. Advise on employment and corporate matters, own our data protection program, and support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance.
- Build with AI. Create agents, playbooks and automations that improve how legal works. Use Langdock daily and give feedback directly to Product. WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Strong legal foundations. You’re a qualified lawyer with 2+ years’ experience at, or advising, a technology company, including enterprise SaaS agreements and DPAs.
- Technical understanding. You understand how software products work and can discuss data flows, APIs and integrations with technical teams. You ask questions until you understand what’s happening behind the contract.
- The ambition to become an AI expert. You want to understand what AI can do, where it falls short and how to use it well. You’re eager to experiment and build expertise through hands-on work.
- Practical judgment. You write clearly, make reasoned recommendations and know which risks need to stop a deal or change a product decision.
- Fluent German and English, and a kind, collaborative approach. WORKING AT LANGDOCK We’re a small, ambitious team with low egos, broad ownership and short feedback loops. You’ll have room to shape the legal function and grow with it. We work together in our Berlin office at Greifswalder Straße 212. The atmosphere is calm but intense: we work hard, enjoy working together, and provide lunch and dinner in the office. Salaries are transparent and tied to levels; all roles include equity. We’ll discuss your level and expected salary range early in the process. THE PROCESS Most hiring processes take around two weeks, including a case study based on real legal questions we handle. We care about how you think, how deeply you investigate and how quickly you learn. We’d love to meet you.
