The Role… Due to continued growth and ongoing success, the company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Industrial Painter and Blaster. The Industrial Painter and Blaster will be focussed on providing a high level of client satisfaction by ensuring activities are completed on time, within budget and compliant with the applicable engineering manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities include

Ensuring sufficient task analysis are undertaken to safely complete work. Perform assigned duties in a timely and safe manner. General Painter/Blaster duties comprising sandblasting of steel, sanding/preparation, industrial painting, loading and unloading of steel, forklift operations, material handling, general maintenance & cleaning of equipment/tools, QA checks/documentation Ensure that work is performed as per Job Cards or ITP’s and current schedule of works.

Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time. Daily timecards are completed accurately and on time. Co-ordinate and work in a team environment. Maintain and use equipment as designed. Assist in the management of a harmonious environment, team building and training of apprentices and other employees as required.

Adherence to Company procedures. You will possess the following skills: High Attention to Detail. General Structural Knowledge; General Paint and/or Blasting Knowledge; Good oral and written communication skills; Good interpersonal skills including communication and consultation; Ability to maintain good client relations; Sound problem-solving skills; Sound knowledge of General Fabrication and Steel Practices.

Ability to work as part of a team is essential; The successful candidate must: Possess a high degree of personal integrity; Maintain very high standards of ethical behaviour; Be self-motivated, diligent and reliable; and Hold a ‘C’ Class Driver’s License.
