Job description

Equipment Maintenance & Supervision Plan, coordinate, lead, and supervise inspection, testing, repair, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance activities for cranes, rotating, static and auxiliary equipment. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Manage workshop operations, workload, and resources (personnel, tools, equipment, spares, consumables, and documentation). Ensure adherence to OEM standards, QHSE policies, and industry best practices in all maintenance operations. Troubleshoot technical faults and coordinate corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement Support Business Development, Tendering, and SCM teams with technical input for bids, tenders, and client requirements. Participate in client inspections, audits, and acceptance tests for equipment maintenance projects. Build trust with clients by ensuring timely delivery of high-quality IRM services.

Provide technical reports and recommendations to clients and management on equipment condition, risks, and lifecycle planning. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and resource utilization. Generate periodic reports on equipment reliability, workshop performance, and project outcomes.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and certification requirements for cranes and lifting equipment. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and cost reduction. Resource & Team Management Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to technicians and contractors.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings. Support staff development through coaching, training, and mentorship. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of parts and consumables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology may be acceptable with extensive experience.
  • Relevant technical certifications (CMRP, CMM, CPMM, OSHA Safety Certificate, Crane/Lifting IRM certifications). Experience: 7-10 years of experience in equipment maintenance, inspection, repair, and management. Strong background in cranes and heavy equipment IRM operations. Proven track record of project delivery, workshop supervision, and team leadership. Experience in oil & gas servicing companies preferred. Knowledge & Skills Expert knowledge in Electrical System Diagnostics & Repairs and Instrumentation & Control Systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with attention to detail. Proficiency with maintenance tools and electrical testing equipment. Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong team collaboration skills. Understanding of QHSE Standards & Compliance.
