To see our fill list of Team Member Benefits please visit our career site: www.gotoworkhappy.com/benefits Job Description: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepares and posts Journal entries to General Ledger Reconcile corporate bank account daily activity and assure that related accounting entries are accurate, timely, and consistently recorded Reconciles Payroll tax and benefit liability accounts, perform variance analysis, identify drivers and make adjustment journal entries as necessary Efficiently communicates and partners with payroll department to research and resolve reconciliation variances Experience with Accounting software Chart of Account maintenance highly desired Assists in the ongoing maintenance, upgrade and implementation of accounting systems Assists with accounting system controls and account set up Work with the systems support team to drive financial systems improvements and support systems conversions.
Assists with Shared Service allocations and inter-company monthly billing Performs and assists with balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis Resolves account discrepancies by researching, verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; Assists with month-end and year-end close Assists with internal and external auditors as needed Efficiently communicates and works with internal departments to obtain information as required Required to maintain functions in accordance with finance policies and practices, GAAP, FASB and other internal control standards Keeps current any departmental checklists and procedures NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners and investors.
Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times and maintains high morale. Operate ethically to protect the image of Hard Rock.
Qualifications
MINIMUM Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required , as well as minimum five (5) or more years of accounting experience Experience with journal entries, and balance sheets reconciliations required Strong Excel knowledge required Must possess excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical skills. Infinium system knowledge preferred Capable of handling basic accounting concepts with minimal supervision and ability to work within deadlines Must have knowledge of, and be able to apply, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). LANGUAGE SKILLS Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to move throughout the corporate office (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods.
Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists. Ability to occasionally, move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds. Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
