Job Overview: Job Summary: Operate pile driving cranes safely and efficiently for heavy civil construction projects in Holden, Louisiana, ensuring all operations adhere to project specifications and safety regulations.
Job Responsibilities

Operate various types of pile driving cranes, including lattice boom and hydraulic cranes, to drive piles according to project plans and specifications. * Perform pre-operation and post-operation checks on equipment, including fluid levels, safety devices, and structural integrity. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and load charts to ensure accurate and safe crane operation.

Communicate effectively with ground crew, signal persons, and supervisors to coordinate lifting and driving operations. * Maintain accurate daily logs of activities, equipment inspections, and any incidents. * Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic maintenance as required. * Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a safe working environment. * Assist with other construction duties as needed when not operating the crane. Job Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent. * Valid NCCCO certification (or equivalent) for pile driving cranes. * Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience operating pile driving cranes in heavy civil construction.

Proven ability to read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and engineering drawings. * Strong understanding of crane operations, rigging, and signaling procedures. * Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices related to crane operation and pile driving. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. * Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions, including standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Heavy Civil is comprised of six operating units that include North Louisiana Operations, South Louisiana Operations, Texas Operations, HMA Paving Operations, Concrete Paving Operations, and the Infrastructure Rehabilitation Unit.
