Freelance Tagalog Interpreter (Community Setting)

We are seeking a reliable and professional Tagalog Interpreter for an active, community-based assignment in and around the Randolph, New Jersey area. This is a freelance (independent contractor) opportunity ideal for individuals who are fluent in Tagalog and English and enjoy supporting diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide accurate, in-person Tagalog interpretation for an active assignment in community settings, such as social services or local appointments. Facilitate clear communication between Tagalog-speaking clients and English-speaking providers. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics standards. Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled assignments.

Qualifications

Fluency in Tagalog and English, including spoken communication and comprehension. Prior interpretation experience preferred; community, medical, or social-services experience is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally. Professional demeanor and dependability.
