Job description
Under the supervision of the ACFS Director, the focus will be on ICWA compliance and licensing in the state of Michigan for Anishnaabeg Child and Family Services (ACFS). The Social Services Supervisor will assure protective services investigations, prevention, child & family service cases, and open-active cases including descendants as outlined in the ICWA agreement between MI DHS and SCIT are responded to in a manner consistent with the Departments overall goal: Mission Statement; Fundamental Values and Beliefs; and Practice Principles; Consistent with 25 C.
F.R., Part 20, Subparts D-F; in compliance with the Tribal Code, Title II Children’s Code; and in compliance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act. All ACFS staff must adhere to mandated reporting laws.
