Job description

The Media Specialist has a desire to use their gifts and technical skills to make an impact - reaching the kids and students of our church with the hope of Jesus through the content we produce and program experiences we craft.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assist the Next. Gen Creative Content team in creating video content for the weekend children’s and student services. This includes: Primary editor for weekend Saddleback Kids (SK) content Focus on managing the media and media platforms (video, audio, Youtube, and graphics) for all of Next. Gen Project managing for our team of staff and contractors (managing editing schedules and coordinating with contracted specialists to ensure all media is passed off and returned according to schedule) Attending video shoots and assisting as needed (primarily as script supervisor and teleprompter operator) Helping with posting of final assets to our distribution platforms (Drive, YouTube, Playlister, etc.)

Create Keynotes for use by weekend leaders Coordinate elements needed for international campuses (audio stems, scripts, posting). Manage archiving and storage of backup footage (Creative Space) for the team Quality control on all video assets and assembled video products Administrative: Assists with the coordination of all team events, financial records and the general public through verbal and written communication.

Responds daily to emails and texts; completes credit card reports and timecards. Meetings + Events: Attend meetings with director, supervisor and Next. Gen team meetings. Serve as needed on all-team weekend events or evening events (2-4x per year). Decision Making: This position receives direction & directives not only from the Next.

Gen Pastor but most directly from the Next. Gen Minister and Team Lead of the Creative Content Team. Unique Working Conditions: Weekend and evening hours occasionally required and at times working outside in seasonal weather. WHAT YOU HAVE DONE Experience and Education Experience editing and managing post-production timelines Experience working on set with productions Ministry experience is not necessary, but it is helpful for this position.

Knowledge, experience, and understanding of children Birth thru Grade 6, students junior high thru college, and the Saddleback Church culture is helpful. College preferred Skills and Abilities Editing Project management Saddleback Church’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity and budgetary considerations for effective stewardship.

The estimated pay rate for this position is $25-30 an hour, depending on experience. We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate’s qualifications and experience for the job. The posted wage range does not guarantee a specific job offer.
