As a Mental Health Support Worker at our Merchants House service in Shipley , you’ll play an important role in helping the people we support build confidence, develop independence and achieve their personal goals. As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support based on individual needs, preferences and goals. Your day could include: βœ… Supporting with cooking, shopping and meal preparation βœ… Helping people manage medication and attend appointments βœ… Supporting budgeting and household tasks βœ… Encouraging people to access their local community βœ… Helping individuals discover new hobbies and develop life skills βœ… Providing emotional support and encouragement βœ… Promoting independence, choice and confidence βœ… Building positive, trusting relationships with the people we support βœ… Working as part of a supportive and dedicated team You'll be there to celebrate the big achievements and the little wins – whether that's trying something new, getting out into the community or taking another step towards greater independence.

πŸ•’ What does the shift pattern look like? This is a 38.5-hour-per-week role working on a rotational shift pattern . You will be required to work a mixture of: β˜€οΈ Day shifts πŸŒ™ Waking night shifts πŸ“… Weekends Our services operate 24 hours a day, so flexibility and the ability to work across the full shift pattern is essential.

You don't necessarily need previous experience in care. Attitude, compassion and a genuine desire to help others are just as important to us. A Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care qualification is also beneficial, but it's not essential if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
