Registered Nurse- PRN- Radiation Oncology

Summary Job Description: Radiation Oncology Nurse/ PRN: Candidates must be able to attend full-time orientation and training prior to transitioning to PRN status. 8-hour shifts 8 am-4:30 pm The RN prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care of patients; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Job Duties: Assessment and identification of patient needs Implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service. Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.

Requirements

Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
