Key Skills and Competencies Technical Proficiency: Competence in performing both basic and advanced mathematical calculations. Ability to operate and maintain quality control testing equipment. Attention to Detail: Skill in conducting accurate tests and inspections of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and aggregate properties. Proficiency in analyzing test results and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. Communication Skills: Effective communication with paving foremen, project managers, and quality control teams. Ability to report findings and recommendations clearly and accurately. Adaptability: Comfort with varied work environments, including outdoor construction sites and indoor lab settings. Flexibility to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as needed. Driving and Travel: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to production plants and job sites across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Problem-Solving Abilities: Capability to troubleshoot issues, provide solutions, and make informed decisions based on quality control data. Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to achieve quality control objectives. Microsoft Office Skills: Strong understanding of Microsoft Office for creating and managing daily quality control reports.
Qualifications
- Education: No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Experience: Previous experience in quality control or construction is a plus but not necessary.
