JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
● Work directly with creditors, collection agencies, and attorney offices to negotiate fair, reduced settlements on behalf of our clients ● Calculate, create, and process settlements within department guidelines ● Manage an active queue of accounts, staying organized and consistent to meet monthly production goals ● Review client accounts to assess available funds and determine next steps ● Gather and submit documentation needed for settlement approval and payment ● Collaborate with teammates to share insights and support each other in reaching the best outcomes for clients ● Multitask across a busy account queue while maintaining clear, effective communication ● Perform other related duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS ● Effective communication skills, with tact and persuasion in customer-focused conversations ● A high degree of initiative and a positive, can-do attitude ● Genuine passion for helping people, with an outstanding focus on clients' needs ● Good judgment and adaptability in fast-changing conversations ● Ability to meet and exceed monthly production goals ● Close attention to detail and ability to apply policies and procedures consistently ● Strong math skills a plus EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE ● Minimum of 1 year of experience in debt settlement negotiations, collections, mortgage loan processing, or customer service ● Debt settlement negotiation experience preferred ● Back-end collections or recovery collections experience preferred ● Mortgage operations experience a plus This job description does not include every duty or responsibility.
