1st Shift Journeyman Tool & Die Maker I (Dept 761)

The Journey Tool & Die Maker I is responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC machines, including Wire EDM equipment, and performing tool grinding and sharpening. The role requires the ability to read blueprints and technical documents, manufacture fixtures, jaws, specialty gauges, shop parts, and cutting tools, and inspect completed work using precision measuring equipment.

Strong math and computer skills are required, along with the ability to assist in training employees in Labor Grades 5F–10F. A Journeyman Card is not required; however, 1–2 years of tool room experience is necessary.
